Beaglebone Black (BBB) with tft_320qvt Touchscreen Parallel Bus

Steps to Wire and Configure the TFT_320QVT touch screen using the BBB parallel bus.  There are lots of examples for the SPI bus, but I thought it could be interesting to try the parallel bus.
For the touchscreen, I had trouble to load the DT overlay via the command line but was able to get it to work via uEnv.txt.  I don' know why it is like this, but I've raised the question here:  https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/beagleboard/gOynYr8fgns

Jessie, Pygame and TFT touch screens (Raspberry Pi) and Calibration

It has been raining a lot so I tried to update my Pi-radio project.  It doesn't work and I'd been better off standing outside in the rain.  The calibration is way-off and the touch screen is unusable at best.  I suspect a lot of people will be in this situation.

Beaglebone Black (BBB) UART2 with ESP8266

Setting up the BBB with the ESP8266 using the UART2 of the BBB.  I've misplaced my USB serial debug cable so I just used the BBB UART instead. Normally UART2 is used by HDMI so it is necessary to disable the HDMI on boot.

Beaglebone Black (BBB) UART2 loopback test

Check UART port on BBB using loop-back test.  Normally UART2 is used by HDMI so it is necessary to disable the HDMI on boot.

Steps to build MLO and u-boot on the Beaglebone Black (BBB)

Build instructions for MLO and u-boot on BBB.  It takes about 10minutes max.  No need to have cross compile environment set up.  Based on the good work of Robert Nelson

Beaglebone Black (BBB) Compile Kernel Locally

Steps I follow to compile BBB Kernel locally.  It takes about 5 hours to compile (make) on the BBB.  Use at your own risk (make a backup!).  Run as root to avoid disappointment.
